Carlson Labs Vitamin D-3 10,000 IU, 120 Softgels helps regulate and control the metabolism of Calcium and Phosphorus by aiding in the absorption of these two minerals from the small intestine, and by directly affecting the rate at which these minerals form and maintain bone.


The diseases caused by Vitamin D deficiency are osteomalacia and rickets. Osteomalacia, found most often found in adults, results in an increase in bone fractures, a waddling walk, and muscle weakness. Rickets is a disease of the bones found in children, and include bowed hands and bowed legs due to the softening of bones. 

Vitamin D, and specifically the hormone our body produces from vitamin D, is the body’s most important regulator of calcium absorption. Research shows that people low in vitamin D absorb a whopping 65% less calcium than those with adequate levels of this vitamin.
