Directions for use:
Breath normally through the inhaler mouthpiece and exhale through the nose. DO NOT breath INTO the inhaler mouthpiece. When cleansing process starts, you may experience coughing, sneezing and phlegm mucus expectoration. You may also tast salt in your mouth and throat, but these conditions will disappear with regular use. The Himalayan Salt Inhaler will will help flush impurities from your nasal cavities and sinuses, and unlike salt water neti pots and nasal injectors, can also cleanse the lungs. The micrograms of salt air can penetrate and cleanse the entire respiratory system, and the amount of salt is so small that it does not affect blood pressure or cause problems with thyroid conditions sensitive to iodine. Recommended usage is 15-25 minutes per day.
Care and Precautions:
Each inhaler should be used by one individual. Do not share inhaler. Do not use inhaler if chipped, cracked, or broken in any area. Always store inhaler in a dry place when not in use. Wipe inhaler tip with a damp cloth after each use. While the inhaler is completely safe for small children, we do not recommend unsupervised use for children uner the age of 8 years.
Salt Replacement:
The salt will last 4-5 years with daily use. The salt will need to be replaced if it becomes wet or moist, and only use the original Himalayan inhaler salt- do not use table salt, sea salt, or epsom salts.
