Quality of Life's Beginnings
Incorporated in 1998, Quality of Life was established with the mission to provide American consumers with access to AHCC and other life-changing nutraceutical ingredients. For over a decade, Quality of Life has been the leader in bringing clinically backed ingredients from all over the world in finished product form to the U.S. market.
Notable Awards and Recognition
We are honored that three of our products have won the Nutracon NutrAward for “top evidence-based supplement product of the year”:

The NutrAward is part of the Nutracon Conference, held in conjunction with Natural Products Expo West/SupplyExpo, the natural products industry's largest event drawing nearly 56,000 attendees from throughout the world.
In addition, we appreciate the recognition that consumer and natural products industry magazines have bestowed on us and our products, as we always strive to go above and beyond and we are thankful when this is noticed.
In July 2012, Oligonol®, manufactured by Quality of Life Labs, was selected as a beauty category recipient of the “2012 Essentials” award from Taste for Life - a health and wellness magazine that reaches 300,000 readers monthly. “In choosing the top dietary supplements for 2012, Taste for Life assessed products, read the science behind the ingredients, and ultimately recommended the stand-outs in 20 categories,” said Lynn Tryba, editor-in-chief of Taste for Life. “Oligonol received this year’s beauty award based on its potent antioxidant properties, which fight inflammation and other underlying causes of aging.”
In the January 2012 issue of natural products industry magazine, Vitamin Retailer, Dan Lifton, COO of Quality of Life Labs was prominently featured in this article which offered predictions for health-food retailers as to what they can expect in the market in 2012.
In the December 2011 issue of natural products industry magazine, Nutrition Industry Executive, writer Rajiv Leventhal interviewed Dan Lifton about the importance of using the highest quality ingredients in supplements that are backed by science.
In Better Nutrition magazine's November 2011 "Annual Guide to Superstar Supplements," Quality of Life Labs' Oligonol won an award in the Multivitamins and Antioxidants category. In the section called "Why we love it," the magazine's editors wrote: "Polyphenols from lychee and other foods promote healthy aging inside and out."
In the September 2011 issue of Vitamin Retailer, associate editor Shari Barbanel interviewed Dan Lifton about supplements for immune support. The article noted: "QOL’s best-selling product is Kinoko Gold® AHCC®. AHCC is an acetylated alpha-glucan-rich compound made from Japanese medicinal mushrooms fermented in rice bran that, according to the company, supports normal immune function and may improve the number and functions of immune system cells. Lifton explained that QOL focuses on the quality and quantity of the research, and noted the fact that there are 30 studies on AHCC in PubMed-referenced journals."
