Ridge Crest Herbals Hair Revive, 120 caps

Hair loss in women has five major causes: inadequate nutrition, physical or emotional stress, hormone balance, DHT buildup in follicles, and nutritional side effects of medication. By restoring proper nutrition to hair follicles.

Hair ReVive can help:

  • Reduce daily hair loss

  • Grow hair faster and longer

  • Grow thicker and fuller hair
  • Reduce styling damage

Hair ReVive fights all five major causes of hair loss with a unique combination of nutrients and other ingredients that work together at the root of the problem, the hair follicles, and the capillaries that feed them.

Hair ReVive contains four groups of ingredients, each with a different role to play in:

    1. Enhancing blood circulation to the scalp and follicles

    2. Developing (and renewing) healthy and active follicles

    3. Providing the building materials for strong, healthy hair.

Stress Nutrition Complex minimizes the adverse effects of stress by supplying vitamins and minerals that are critical to health under stress. Biotin, folic acid, Vitamin C and B complex vitamins are key to proper hair growth.

Most women get only 150-200 mcg of biotin from diet, but hair experts recommend 3000-6000 mcg daily. Hair ReVive contains a full 6000 mcg dose of this critical nutrient.

Hair Growth Complex N-acetyl-cysteine is the most bioavailable form of cysteine, a key building block for healthy hair. Horsetail, nettle and bamboo all contain silica, an important building block for healthy hair. Bioflavinoids help the body absorb nutrients.

Hormone Balancing Complex includes beta sitosterol, which works with B6 to reduce DHT buildup, as well as kelp and L-tyrosine for proper thyroid function.

Chinese Herbal Hair Complex contains two traditional Chinese herbal formulas for healthy hair, including fo-ti root, which is well-known and used in China to grow healthy hair and prevent graying.

What Your Hair Says About You-

Full, healthy hair has always been an essential element of a women’s beauty and style, but there is more to hair than what meets the eye. Each individual strand of hair grows from a follicle, a bulb shaped cavity that is literally the “root” of your hair problem.

At the bottom of the follicle, the cells are fed by tiny capillaries, so that the cells can divide very quickly, creating new hair cells that push the older ones up and out of the follicle. Older hair cells are bundled together by proteins called keratin, and added to the the shaft or strands of hair that we see.

On average, hair grows about an eighth of an inch every week. Periodically, hair follicles will normally go into a “resting” state where the old hair shaft falls out, usually to be replaced a few months later by a new (often very fine) hair.

However, if too many follicles are “resting”, and especially if they are not awaking after this resting period, many women experience thinning hair, excessive breakage, and consequent hair loss.

Hair loss in men may be common and tolerated, but for a women it can be devastating. Sure, some hair loss is normal, but too much or noticeable thinning can be a big concern.

Hair loss in women is usually caused by a combination of factors, including inadequate nutrition, physical and emotional stress, hormone imbalance, a buildup of DHT (di-hydro testosterone) in follicles that can cause them to go dormant, and side effects of many medications.

Any of these problems alone can prevent the follicles from getting all the key nutrients needed to produce thick, healthy hair. When multiple causes converge (as they usually do), the problem can be even harder to solve.

Healthy hair is an indicator of general health. Healthy hair begins with good overall nutrition, including hair-specific nutrients such as biotin and silica. Stress can rapidly deplete many nutrients, including B vitamins, and can cause hormonal changes such as excess cortisol which can divert nutrients from the scalp to “core” organs as part of the “fight or flight” stress response.

Healthy hair needs well-known nutrients like biotin and silica, but also requires a much broader array of vitamins and minerals like those found in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, and healthy lean proteins, and even healthy fats.

Exercise and stress relieving activities will help hair to stay healthy and assure the nutrients are getting to the hair follicles. Washing and massaging the scalp can also encourage good scalp circulation and help to make sure follicles do not get clogged or shut down.
